Toutefois, une \u00e9tude de la Harvard Medical School montre que les plus de 60 ans b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient davantage des arts martiaux d\u2019intensit\u00e9 mod\u00e9r\u00e9e, qui peuvent am\u00e9liorer consid\u00e9rablement le niveau d\u2019\u00e9nergie, la qualit\u00e9 de sommeil et la forme mentale.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les arts martiaux concern\u00e9s sont le tai-chi, bas\u00e9s sur des mouvements lents et fluides, qui m\u00e9nagent les articulations et favorisent l\u2019\u00e9quilibre. Pour les plus de 60 ans, ils sont souvent une alternative s\u00fbre et attrayante au jogging ou \u00e0 la musculation intensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces types d\u2019exercices font travailler non seulement les muscles, mais aussi le cerveau. La pratique d&rsquo;encha\u00eenements complexes de mouvements am\u00e9liore la coordination musculaire, la concentration et la m\u00e9moire. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude montre par exemple que le tai-chi renforce la capacit\u00e9 d&rsquo;adaptation du corps des seniors en stimulant activement le syst\u00e8me de contr\u00f4le interne de l&rsquo;organisme.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En plus des bienfaits pour l&rsquo;organisme, les cours collectifs offrent du contact social \u2013 une protection importante contre l&rsquo;isolement. Par ailleurs, les seniors d\u00e9clarent se sentir plus sereins, mieux dormir et avoir davantage confiance en soi. Les experts conseillent de consulter un m\u00e9decin avant de commencer et de travailler avec un coach exp\u00e9riment\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s des seniors.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au quotidien aussi il existe des exercices simples pour garder la forme jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 un \u00e2ge avanc\u00e9 \u2013 sans avoir besoin d\u2019aller dans une salle de sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Se tenir debout sur une jambe<\/strong>: au moment de se laver les dents ou de faire la vaisselle, se tenir sur une seule jambe. Cet exercice fait travailler l&rsquo;\u00e9quilibre et sollicite presque tous les muscles. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Se tenir sur la pointe des pieds<\/strong>: se mettre de temps en temps sur la pointe des pieds et maintenir la position bri\u00e8vement. Cet exercice renforce les mollets et am\u00e9liore la stabilit\u00e9 des jambes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Faire des abdominaux en position assise<\/strong>: s&rsquo;asseoir bien droit\u00b7e, contracter le ventre, soulever les talons puis les baisser lentement. Cet exercice stimule les muscles profonds et abdominaux. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prendre les escaliers<\/strong>: plut\u00f4t que d\u2019utiliser l&rsquo;ascenseur, prendre les escaliers.
